PowerPoker review
PowerPoker is a relatively new online poker site, which currently resides on the Cake poker network. It runs on excellent software, it accepts US players and it is endorsed by nine other than Ilari Sahamies, one of the craziest nosebleed stakes juggernauts of the online poker world. Despite using Cake software, PowerPoker has managed to customize the interface enough to confuse most players who are used to the Cake software. The customer support offered at PowerPoker is outstanding and player to player money transfer is allowed. The site also features some extremely handy deposit and cash out methods.
The PowerPoker software is 12 MBs big, and once installed you’re not likely to get rid of it soon. The interface looks nothing like your standard Cake interface. It’s much sleeker and much better. The software is stable and it runs fast despite the customizations. The options panel is a little difficult to navigate, but that doesn’t mean the options are not there. The software allows for notes on opponents as well as for color coding.
Player traffic is excellent at PowerPoker. The 9,000 players they get in peak hours are obviously a result of the network-wide traffic that Cake Poker so generously delivers.
Game variety is good, though you’re not likely to run into any exotic poker variants here.
The sign-up bonus offered by PowerPoker is a 110% match up to $600. The entire bonus needs to be redeemed the traditional way (through real money cash games and tournaments) which means there’s no upfront money here.
